2010-11 Registration for returning families is March 1st through March 19th.

A registration flyer with any changes for the 2010-11 school year will be sent home on March 1st.  Children who are currently enrolled at College Park Preschool are given first priority for the coming school year.  Families may keep their M-W-F, T-Th, or five day spot for their child by filling out a registration card and returning it to the preschool office with the non-refundable registration fee by March 19th.  Families wishing to change or add days for the coming year may turn in their registration card and fee indicating what days they would like and will be placed using the waiting list.   Siblings may also be enrolled at this time.

2010-11 Registration for new families begins March 22.

Church members, alumni families, and new families will be contacted from the waiting list beginning March 22nd.  The director will call for 3 consecutive days.  If there is no return call, the director will move to the next child on the waiting list.  Registration cards will then be mailed to those families who respond and want a spot for the 2010-11 school year.

School will be closed March 29 – April 2 for Spring Vacation

Notes from the College Park Preschool Parent Group (CPPPG)

eScrip is Back!   The CPPPG is working to re-invigorate the eScrip program at College Park. Through this program, you can register your existing grocery, debit, credit or Macy’s card, and participating merchants will make contributions to College Park based on purchases made with registered cards. Check your email and/or cubbies for more information on this program.

MmmmmmmmmPizzzzaaaaaa!    If you love eating great pizza and being surrounded by loads of great people, then the CPPPG Pizza Night is for you!  This year we will be trying out a new venue, Mountain Mikes Pizzaria in San Carlos. Mark your calendars, take a night off from cooking and join all of your College Park friends on Thursday, March 25h at Mountain Mikes on the corner of Navajo and Jackson Blvd.  The best part is that the preschool will receive up to 30% of the total amount spent by College Park friends and families, and you can go any time that day or even do take-out!

Spring has Sprung…Well, Almost…Okay, so it may not officially be spring yet, but it isn’t too soon to start thinking of this year’s Annual Spring Basket Auction that takes place each year at the preschool’s Spring Potluck Luncheon.  Information will be sent home soon regarding this event so keep your eyes peeled!  Until then, just mark your calendars for the mornings of April 22nd and 23rd.  Oh, and don’t forget to invite the extended family as the children always put on a nice singing program for all to see!

Wait, Wait, Don’t Throw That Out!   Coming this spring, the CPPPG has two collection events planned to help out the broader community.  First, we will be holding a Blanket Drive for our furry friends at the Humane Society.  This is a great opportunity to get rid of any old towels or blankets you have lying around as well as any items you may have left from a beloved but departed animal in your life.  Used pet beds, leashes and un-opened pet food will also be collected.

Second, the CPPPG is partnering with Soles for Souls, to collect gently used shoes of all types for donation to needed families in San Diego and abroad.  Look for posters with more information on these events in March.

Be There or Be Square!   Want to know what fun lies ahead at College Park? Be sure to come to the next parent group meeting!  The next meeting will be held March 3rd, 9:15am upstairs from the preschool. We will be discussing the upcoming Spring Basket Raffle, the CPPPG Pancake Breakfast and other spring activities!

Thanks again for all of your support of CPPPG activities!
