		Welcome to College Park Preschool! Dear Parents, Welcome to College Park Preschool! We are looking forward to having your child in our school for this coming year. The staff will be returning on September 2^nd and will be working in their rooms through September 2^nd through 5^th. You will be contacted by your child’s teacher sometime from September 2^nd to set up a Before School Conference on either Monday, September 8^th, or Tuesday, September 9^th between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Each conference lasts about 20 minutes. This will be a time for you and your child to meet the teacher(s) individually and become acquainted with the classroom and program. This is also a time to share any information or concerns you may have about your child at school. Back to School Night will be held on Monday, September 8^th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The format will be slightly different from the last few years. During the first half hour, the director will give an overview of the program and policies, NAEYC accreditation, the parent handbook, and important school events. The second half hour, parents will meet in their child’s classroom for an informative meeting with their child’s teachers. We are asking that only adults attend Back to School Night. The first day of school for Monday-Wednesday-Friday children and five morning children will be at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10^th. The first day of school for Tuesday-Thursday children will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11^th. Morning care will not be provided on the first days of school, however, afternoon care will be provided from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. There is no extended care for children in the Two’s classes. Parents of new students must return all forms in person to the director as soon as possible. If you do not have all the forms, please call and leave a message on the answering machine (619-582-2520) and the forms will be mailed to you. New students will not be able to attend school until all forms are on file. Included is a copy of CPP’s Toilet Learned Policy. Children in the preschool classes must be toilet-learned to keep their spot. Children in the Two’s classes need not be toilet-learned. All forms and papers: 1. 2008-9 Policies and Procedures 2.
